The maple tree in our back yard blooms each year and this time I was in the right place at the right time. A little Photo-shop work and re sized for the web gave up this very colorful image. This was shot with my old Nikon D-70 camera and my Tamron 18 -200 zoom lens.

Russ using his new Commercial video camera on one of out trips over to the elk feeding station. This was on the way home as we hoped to capture some color in the sky besides clouds or clear blue. Mission accomplished. The Video was used in his Inspirational video business called the Good Book Company

Something New “Unwanted Guests”
We had some visitors to the peak of our garage this last week and they were dive bombing us as we went to and from the garage. I sent many pictures to our nephew in Long Beach CA for a species ID and he came up with “Paper Wasps”.

Product Picture for Promo
Custom made Aluminum surface pot call with two strikers to call Tom turkeys in during the spring time. This one was made for me by Pappy’s calls in Lilbourn, Missouri. The pot is made from Osage wood and has a glass sound board. The strikers are blood wood and red oak. I superimposed the turkey image on top of the surface for the heck of it and it is not on the actual pot. The Scotch Brite is to condition the pot surface and the striker ends when in the field. You can see more of his work at the following link: http://pappyscalls.com/shop/
Published Portrait For Art Show
This Portrait will be published for the Retrospective art show by the Ventura College starting Feb. 25th. This is one of many portraits I have taken of Bill for his web site and business cards. He emailed and asked me to send this image with permission to the news paper person that is doing the write up for this event. Bill McEnroe helped start the art program at this college and retired from there teaching his trade.
Commercial Images For Sign Approval
The image to the left was one of a series of shots to show how a new sign would look at the front of the Manor so people passing by would know what type of business was at this site. The images were used to show the board just what the sign would look like and how easy it was to read. The sign has already made it easier for people to find the site for events, weddings and business meetings. The sign was a drawing scanned into my computer and the applied to an image of the building with Photo Shop CS4 to make a realistic look. When you see the next image below you will see how close the drawing was to the real sign.
This is the sign right after it was installed and I think it is real close to the image above that was used for our contact person to present to his board and the city for approval. The major difference was the placement that ended up closer to the street and has the city street light from across the street lighting the sign in the evening (Sort of Green) so signage lights were not needed to make the sign readable in the dark. The site is the South Sound Manor in Tumwater WA where they are having, Weddings, Meetings. and all kinds of events. Take a look at South Sound Manor and decide for your self if the site meets your needs.
